Thanks to everyone who joined us for our events in March! On March 15 we had our show in virtual reality, with founder/CEO of Sipurb, Heather Badower, mythologist Shonn Sopko, and our final (for now) time with resident tech philosopher Barb Dybwad. It was the first time we reached the maximum number of audience members, and the team at AltSpaceVR had to talk with us about having an “overflow room” – what does that mean? In Virtual Reality, you’d go and watch us on a screen? It’s unreal! We had people join us from as far away as Brazil and Germany. Try us again on April 19th by registering HERE.

On March 20 we took Chew On This Storytelling to LA, had our pop-up show in Venice, and  met an incredible audience! We loved having everyone turn out for brunch, with stories from Hilary Hattenbach and Teresa Thome, plus interviews with Susan Johnston, director of the New Media Film Festival, and Lisa Stone (BlogHer cofounder/CEO, now Entrepreneur-in-Residence with Trinity Ventures) and tech philosopher Barb Dybwad, in person! We were thrilled to have our sponsors provide incredible gifts and products. Many thanks to The Writing Pad, Archetypal Musings, Epic Coffee, and our newest: Earth Angel Pantry LA who provided Heaven-on-a-stick and other vegan delights!

Our audience was outstanding! In fact, we look forward to seeing more of them. We are inviting some to be on the stage with us! We have also just launched a Facebook community and Slack community (by invitation), and will have more experts available soon. To find out more, email Cici via ChewOnThisStorytelling (at) gmail.com

Many thanks to our extended team for making the show possible: Jan Uetz Ayacaba Ondo, Heather Badower, Jason Badower and Gordon McDonald!

And please SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, May 3rd for our debut at The Marsh Theater in Berkeley! We are thrilled to have a monthly show there every 1st Tuesday. On May 3rd we have wonderful storytellers and an interview with internationally-acclaimed musician Jennifer Berezan. Tickets ($10-$20) will be available through The Marsh. Please check back for details.
